Dental Bone Grafting

A dental bone grafting procedure helps rebuild lost or weakened bone in the jaw to create a strong foundation for dental implants and overall oral health. A tooth bone graft restores the structure needed to support a healthy smile, whether due to tooth loss, injury, or periodontal disease.

Rebuilding Jaw Strength with Dental Bone Grafting in Tulsa, OK

When natural bone in the jaw is insufficient to support dental implants, dental bone grafting becomes essential. This procedure reinforces the jaw by adding new bone material that provides a stable base for future restorations. The type of tooth bone graft needed depends on the extent of bone loss and the specific area requiring reinforcement.

A tooth bone graft is a common and safe procedure that benefits those with periodontal disease, oral trauma, or long-term tooth loss. By strengthening the jaw, the graft enhances both function and aesthetics to ensure long-term success for implants or other dental restorations. If you’re considering an implant graft, our expert team can determine the best solution for your needs.

  • What is a dental bone graft?

A dental bone grafting procedure adds bone material to areas of the jaw where bone loss has occurred. This reinforcement supports implant grafts by helping to secure dental implants or restore overall oral structure.

  • How long does it take for a bone graft to heal?

Healing time varies, but most tooth-bone graft procedures require several months for full integration. The bone gradually fuses with the surrounding tissue to create a strong foundation for future dental work.

  • Who is a good candidate for a dental bone graft?

Patients with insufficient jawbone due to periodontal disease, tooth loss, or trauma may benefit from dental bone grafting. Those considering dental implants often require an implant graft to ensure long-term stability and success.
